I believe it is necessary to hold a free consultation with you and your pet at the start of your first appointment.
Here, we discuss your requirements and the best approach for grooming, depending on your dog’s breed, coat type/condition, your lifestyle and their age/temperament.
The purpose of this is so you don’t end up with a style you don’t want, so please bring any pictures if that would help.
If your dog has shown any aggression/nervousness at a groomers previously, please let me know.

I only offer 1-to-1 appointments which guarantees a personal, relaxed grooming service.
It’s always difficult to estimate how long a groom will take so I would usually book a 2/2.5 hour slot, depending on the service we have decided on.
I will give you a courtesy call/text 15 minutes prior to the end of your appointment enabling you time to come and collect your pet.

My appointment slots are timed to each individual dog, with a period to try and prevent any overlap. This ensures I am not rushing to complete your dog.
If you are early, I may not be able to give you access to the salon. Please refrain from arriving more than 5 minutes prior to your appointment time.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, this will be classed as a no show and may result in having to reschedule your appointment which would incur the full cost of the appointment.
Late collection fees. I will let you know 15 minutes before your dog is ready for collection. If you are late to collect your dog, anything over 15 minutes will be charged at £5 per 5 minutes.

I appreciate that sometimes you may need to rearrange your dog’s appointment. As long as this is done with more than 48 hours notice there will be no charge.
Any failure to show or cancellation with less than 24 hours notice (except in extreme circumstances) will result in the full fee being payable, and no further appointment will be made until your account is up to date.
Cancellations between 24-48 hours will be charged at half the appointment fee.

All quoted prices assume:
The dogs coat is well maintained, free from knots, mats and tangles.
The dog is well behaved, shows no aggression and is groomed at our recommended timescales.
The dog is not overweight or oversized for the breed.
Whilst I am happy to work with nervous/timid dogs, these may incur extra charges due to the extra time and handling skills required.

Minor mat removal is part of the normal grooming service provided but it takes a great deal of care and practice to undertake.
I abide by the Animal Welfare Act, so any extreme cases of matting will result in a partial or complete coat removal to relieve your dogs suffering caused by matted hair.
There will be an additional fee on top of the grooming price of £15 per half hour due to the time it takes to remove the mats and the extreme wear and tear it causes my tools.

If you are aware of your dog being unwell or fighting some kind of infection/infestation, please inform me as soon as you can and do not bring your dog into the salon.
Please ensure your dog is up to date with all flea treatments as I am not licenced to give them. If fleas are found, you will be informed by a polite phonecall, and you will need to treat your dog at home. Additional charges will apply to cover the deep cleaning required in the salon.
Ticks will be removed if found and you will be informed on pick up.
If your dog will be in season at the time of their appointment, please call to rearrange as bitches can be slightly more sensitive than normal to the grooming process. They can also leave behind scents which can drive the dogs wild, resulting in an uncomfortable grooming experience for them too.

At the end of the appointment, I will inform you of any concerns I have regarding your dogs health and if I encountered any issues.
Please use this time to give me any feedback on your dogs groom, whether this be good or bad. If you are not happy with their groom, please let me know within 24 hours so we can work together to achieve the look you want for your beloved pet.
I would love to take before and after pictures of your furry friends new style and pop them on my social media. If you would rather I didn’t do this, please just let me know.
